Thorngrove Infectious Diseases Hospital and Ekusileni Medical Center were equipped with 2 and 3 ventilators respectively from well-wishers for them to be able to take on COVID-19 critical cases, The Chronicle reports.
Donations received by Bulawayo City Council were confirmed by the city’s Senior Public Relations Officer Mrs Nesisa Mpofu who said:
The city has received two ventilators and a solar system for the isolation ward, solar panels, inverter batteries and solar geysers, which are to be installed when renovations are complete. An autoclave has been bought
The donations were received by Bulawayo Provincial Affairs Minister Judith Ncube who said it was consoling to know that people were working together to make sure that systems are in place.
