The MDC Alliance has announced that it is withdrawing its MPs and Senators from parliament. ZimLive reports. This was reportedly said by Job Sikhala in a press conference today. Sikhala reportedly clarified and said:
This is in the interests of the people not in the interests of individuals
According to the publication:
Job Sikhala clarifies that they are “disengaging from anything to do with Parliament, from anything to do with Zanu PF” but the final decision about withdrawal will come at the end of a consultative process with the party’s structures and other interest groups
ob Sikhala says they are not making empty threats. “If we want to cause pandemonium at State House right now, we know what to do. You have been agitating for it for a while… it’s coming. Give us time,” he says.
