UK Based Musician Sisa Senkosi Donates Mealie Meal To Bulawayo Artistes

UK based artiste Sisa “Sisa Senkosi” Mkandla, has donated 66 bags of mealie meal to artistes who registered for food assistance with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe last month, The Chronicle reports.

The donations were confirmed by National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) director, Nicholas Moyo who said:

We asked artists who needed assistance to register with our provincial offices, and in Bulawayo we received 66 names. The names have been sent to Government for state assistance.

In the meantime however, a well-wisher has come on board with the donation of mealie meal which we’re happy to receive on behalf of artistes in the province

The donations were received through Sisa’s foundation and were disbursed to the artistes this morning. In donating the mealie meal Sisa said she was doing the little she can to help others during these turbulent times.
