A protest over food hampers has reportedly erupted at Booysens informal settlement in Eloff Street in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Protesters say that they have not yet received any food aid since the imposition of the national lockdown by President Cyril Ramaphosa on 23 March.
The lockdown was imposed to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus. South Africa is one of the most affected African countries with confirmed cases now approaching 5000.
