Douglas Mwonzora and Morgen Komichi are reportedly planning to recall six MDC Alliance MPs as soon Parliament reopens, according to academic and political commentator Pedzisai Ruhanya.
Mwonzora and his MDC-T colleagues are contemplating the “daring” move to shock and awe other MPs to make them submit to the Thokozani Khupe-led opposition party.
The six legislators targeted for recall are Amos Chibaya, Prosper Mutseyami, Thabitha Khumalo, Noma Ndlovu, Lilian Timveous and Chalton Hwende. Ruhanya posted on Twitter:
Mwonzora and crew planning to recall 6 MPs as a way to intimidate MDC Alliance MPs to join their camp after all MDC MPs have refused to support Mwonzora and Komichi.
They have planned with their regime handlers that as soon as Parliament opens they recall Prosper Mutseyami (Chief Whip), Tabitha(Leader of the house), Noma Ndlovu (Deputy Chief whip), Senator Lilian Timvious, Chalton Hwende and Amos Chibaya. They are daring!
Zanu PF and the system are aware that Mwonzora and crew have lost the battle to control MDC but want them to wreak havoc and weaken MDC Nelson Chamisa immensely ahead of 2023.
If MDC rebels plot is executed as they desperately intend, it will expose big time how the system is involved and mired in attempts to destroy MDC Nelson Chamisa.
How would Parliament recall MDC Alliance MPs acting on MDC-T a different party? Can MDC recall ZANU PF MPs?
MDC-T is set to hold an extraordinary congress less than three months from now to elect a substantive president following the demise of Morgan Tsvangirai in 2018.
Thokozani Khupe was made interim president and ordered to organise the extraordinary congress by the Supreme Court.

MDC is destroying itself by time and again ignoring what they agreed and wrote in their constitution.Yes the ruling party will celebrate,when they see their opponent falling because it means less challenge.The same applies when there was infighting in ZANU pf ,the MDC celebrated because it gave them a chance to win.However,the MDC need to grow now, and also learn from their mistakes.A party made up of lawyers continue to make the same mistakes again and again because of power hungry individuals.Stop using violent youths.Decisions need to be made without emotions and blaming anyone when you actually know that the problem is you.The MDC is a nice document but it is being abused by individuals.Leaders need to understand that they come and go,but the party should progress.The moment a leader says the party is nothing without me,then we have a big problem.Former president had that mentality that ZANU pf is nothing him,and Zimbabwe is nothing without him,which was wrong to such an extent that some followers thought it was a fact.Tsvangirai likewise also said MDC ndini musanyeberwe,but MDC is continuing without him today.chamisa took the notes further and also want people believe that the party will not prosper under any leadership besides him,which is a lie.The MDC constitution should not be bent to suit a particular individual.yes followers are looking at their leaders to set a good example.The MDC should set a good example before getting into power so that followers can trust them.
