Air Zimbabwe Finalising Post COVID-19 Relaunch Plan, Waiting For IATA Readmission To Commence International Flights - Report

The national flag carrier Air Zimbabwe is reportedly finalising its post-COVID-19 relaunch plan and working towards making sure they get readmitted into IATA to sell their international tickets as they plan to fly to China and London, Open Parly reports.

This was revealed by the airline’s spokesperson Firstme Vitori who said:

…We have not folded our hands completely. We are pursuing special passenger and cargo charter flights which revenue will be critical to kickstart our operations post COVID-19. We have put together a strategic plan which is primarily drawn from our overall strategic turnaround plan.

London and China will be on top of our list as we roll out (international flights). A key factor is our readmission to the IATA clearing house which will enable our flights to be sold globally

Air Zimbabwe is also planning on introducing new regional routes to Kinshasa, Lusaka, Windhoek, Capetown and Maun when business resumes. after the COVID-19 lockdowns imposed by several governments.
