Sakunda Donates Arundel Clinic For Use By Govt As A COVID-19 Centre For Over 6 Months

Sakunda Holdings, an energy company in Zimbabwe on Thursday donated Arundel Clinic for use by the government as a COVID-19 centre for over six months.

The development was announced by the ruling ZANU PF in a social media post which read:

Sakunda has donated Arundel Clinic for use by Gvt of Zim’ @MoHCCZim as a COVID-19 Centre for over 6 months. The facility will be accessible to every Zimbabwean AT NO COST!! Cost of renovations, & equipment installed has totalled USD 2.8 million.

The energy giant, towards the end of March, applied and was given green light to upgrade and use St Anne’s and Arundel private hospitals for the next six months.

The deal between Sakunda and the government stated that Sakunda Holdings would set up specialised healthcare facilities, train and equip healthcare practitioners, avail equipment and medication required for effective control of COVID-19.
