She added that details on how the grant will be accessed will be made available tomorrow after they finalize all modalities to ensure it’s transparent and reaches all regions.
The Minister of Youth, Sports, Arts And Recreation, Kirsty Coventry and the Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Professor Mthuli Ncube have announced a ZWL $17Million Relief Fund for youth-led businesses and CSOs.
The fund was announced during a live conversation between the duo during which Ncube acknowledged the resilience, and innovativeness of the Zimbabwean youth.
The Treasury boss also cited how the youths are lacking in support, particularly, mentorship and financial support.
He also expressed a desire to have more work done to ensure youth realize their potential.
Meanwhile, the former World swimming champion, Coventry indicated that this was not a loan facility, but “a grant which shall be made available through the Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation.
