We Might Receive Donations But We Should Know That We Are Our Own Liberators – VP Chiwenga

While inspecting Mashonaland Central Province’s preparedness to handle COVID-19 cases in Bindura, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga said we as Zimbabwe must remember to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic on our own because we are our own liberators.

Chiwenga hailed donors and well-wishers from all corners of the globe but reminded Zimbabweans that this was our own fight. Said the VP after the tour:

We may receive donations from outside, which is appreciated, but we should know that we are our own liberators, we must deal with this situation as Zimbabweans

Even when this pandemic is over we are going to continue with such awareness programmes, and even the resources we have gathered will not be taken away so that in the future when we have such pandemics, our people will be better prepared and we are not found wanting.

The Bindura inspection was the second one after he visited Marondera on Friday.
