NetOne Board Member To Be Removed From The Board For Not Attending Board Meetings

NetOne Boardroom squabbles intensify as reports indicate that board member Dr Douglas Mamvura might be let go for not attending a single board sitting since his appointment last year, The Sunday Mail reports. Dr Mamvura might be chopped from the board despite the fact that he was not officially invited for most meetings.

A source close to the development spoke to the publication and said Dr Mamvura, who will be the 5th board member to leave the Telecoms company’s board in 2020 was notified by the ICT Ministry that he is going to be removed from the board:

He is now being accused of not having attended board meetings to which he was never invited,

Dr Mamvura speaking to The Herald about the matter last month reportedly said:

it is a mystery. I was properly appointed but I was never advised of any meetings. I don’t know why I am being blocked
