Kawondera's Absa Premiership Move In Jeopardy

Zimbabwean midfielder Ralph Kawondera’s move to South Africa’ Absa Premiership hangs in the balance following the outbreak of the COVID-19 global pandemic which has forced countries to close their borders.

Kawondera, who plays for FC Platinum, has been linked with a move to more than two clubs south of the Limpopo. He told H-Metro:

I’m afraid… with the pandemic that we are facing at the moment. The deal might be affected because no one is aware when it will end.

Of course, we are talking and waiting for things to go back to normal but you know that (with the) uncertainty, you don’t know when this will end.

Maritzburg United and Baroka have both been linked with the services of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League 2019 Soccer Star of the Year runner-up.
