Bulawayo Nurse Who Tested Positive For COVID-19, Violates Self Isolation Measures, Roams Around The City Exposing Residents To COVID-19 - Report

COVID-19 Case #15 reportedly violated self-isolation measures and was reported to have left her residence and went to other parts of the city, exposing other people to the deadly virus, The Chronicle reports.

The 34-year-old woman who tested positive for the virus on Monday had mild symptoms and was put under self-isolation which she violated by gallivanting around the City of Kings.

According to the publication, Case #15 was spotted at Bradfield Shopping Centre by residents and at some point, surveillance teams could not find her at home where she was supposed to self isolate.

The development was confirmed by BCC’ health services director Dr Edwin Sibanda who said they were roping in security forces to ensure her compliance:

We have since communicated the same to Joint Operations Command (JOC) and JOC is going to take action starting tomorrow. If it is maintenance of a restriction order, they will take care of that. They have the means and the authority to do so and communication about all positive people and their need to be isolated home, they will assist us on that
