Zimbabwe Records First COVID-19 Recovery

Zimbabwe has recorded its first COVID-19 recovery case, New Ziana reports. This was published by the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare who gave the update that one of the COVID-19 cases had tested negative after being tested for the virus twice.

According to the statement by the ministry:

The Ministry would like to advise the nation that one of the cases was confirmed as recovered after testing negative for Covid-19 on two samples collected at least 24 hours apart.

The case has been removed from isolation, and the healthcare workers are still monitoring other cases which includes a 34-year-old nurse at a local Bulawayo Hospital who has no travel history.
