Bill Gates Criticizes Trump Over WHO Decision

World-renowned philanthropist Bill Gates has criticised the decision by the United States of America leader, President Donald Trump to suspend funding the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Gates asserted that Trump’s move is dangerous, coming at a time when WHO is working to slow the spread of COVID-19, a global pandemic caused by the new coronavirus. Gates posted on Twitter:

Halting funding for the World Health Organization during a world health crisis is as dangerous as it sounds. Their work is slowing the spread of COVID-19 and if that work is stopped no other organization can replace them. The world needs WHO now more than ever.

On Tuesday Trump decided to cut US funding to the WHO after accusing the international body of “severely mismanaging and covering up” the threat posed by the coronavirus.

Trump said WHO had “defended the actions of the Chinese government, even praising its so-called transparency”.

  1. A classic manifestation of diplomatic maturity and lack of statesmanship especially not only from a super but supreme super power which should candidly be leading the world through this phase of COVID -19 Traumatized Global Community. His diplomatic questionable knee jack reaction, by all measure an outcome of expert null consultation turns out to be more explosive and catastrophic than COVID -19 plague. Unfortunately as a global leader (Mr Trump) he forgets totally that he is not only a servant of the American people, allies and the world but a servant of humanity ultimately…His dilema is in vehemently attempting to practice the reverse, a classic act of dictatorship and waywardness with fathomless disastrous consequences.

  2. Godfrey Godfrey Godfrey what a load of crap the un and all its bodies are meant to be impartial that includes bribes by china to weak African states such as Ethiopia who are now communist puppets
