Bindura Man Convicted For Defying Lockdown Restrictions

A man from Bindura has reportedly been convicted after he was arrested for breaking lockdown restrictions Bulawayo24 reports.

According to the publication, Shingirai Guzha of Trojan mine was intercepted by the police at a roadblock in Bindura driving a Mazda B1800 truck and reportedly refused to be arrested before wrestling his arresting officer who had told him to go back home.

Guzha appeared in front of Bindura Magistrate Tinashe Ndokera yesterday and pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 30 days in jail or pay a $3000 fine.
