"It's A Family Matter Which Doesn't Require President's Office," Buyanga Approaches ZACC

South Africa-based Zimbabwean businessman, Frank Buyanga has approached the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) over alleged interference by president Emmerson Mnangagwa’s son in his child custody case with his ex-girlfriend, Chantelle Muteswa.

The claims were made in two letters that were delivered to the ZACC and the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC) this week in which he asked the institutions to inquire into the alleged conspiracy. He said

I genuinely believe there is interference in the execution of judicial power from external forces. What is being done is illegal and almost treasonous… The dispute between Chantelle Muteswa and myself is personal and a family matter which doesn’t require any third party, especially the President’s Office.

Buyanga claims that Collins, Tongai Mnangagwa, Dylish Nguwaya and Honourable Justice (Jacob) Manzunzu have since 2019 been interfering with the case against him.

The business tycoon is embroiled in a prolonged child custody battle with Muteswa and last month he reported her to the police after she allegedly went to their son’s school and took him in violation of a court order which gave Buyanga temporary custody.
