Sekuru Banda Donates Groceries And Cash To Senior Citizens To Help Them Get Through The Lockdown

Popular Traditional healer Sekuru Banda has donated cash and groceries to senior citizens to help them get through the 21 days lockdown imposed by the government, Zim Morning post reports.

Sekuru Banda who gave the donations to some senior citizens in Mbare said he was using his personal funds in partnership with other international partners. Handing over the donations in the company of health professionals Banda said:

Following the announcement of the 21-day lockdown period to prevent the spread of Coronavirus we realised that most people would face food challenges particularly the elderly.

So together with my team we set out to provide food, masks and gloves to the most needy and vulnerable members of our society and that is the elderly people

Most of the beneficiaries are unemployed and hopefully the groceries will go a long way in mitigating hunger during the lockdown period.
