MDC-A Not Affected By The Supreme Court Rulling – Welshman Ncube Explains The Ruling That Declared Chamisa An “Illegitimate” MDC Leader

MDC Vice President, fundi Welshman Ncube has taken the time to explain to their party members and the nation at large how the MDC-A is not affected by yesterday’s court ruling that declared that Chamisa was not the MDC’s rightful leader.

Professor Ncube tweeted the explanation and said:

At the last meeting of the MDC Alliance Standing Committee on 10 March 2020 I put to Cde Komichi & Cde Mwonzora the entire ZANUPF strategy on the Khupe case & their respective roles in that strategy. Their denials of both the ZANUPF strategy and their roles thereto were vehement

I ended the debate by telling them that while we had no choice but to give them the benefit of the doubt on the day of the handing down of the judgement we will know the truth. Today we know.

I also told them that the MDC- A had already held its Congress & wd not hold another one & that the leadership elected at Congress was not negotiable & would never be determined by courts of law but only by the members of the party. That was true on that day as it is true today.

Legally, the MDC- A was not before the court and cannot be bound by a judgement to which it is not a party and which in any event is not directed at it. Politically, the people ALWAYS decide. Period.

Meanwhile, Morgan Komichi has already directed Nelson Chamisa to hand over all party assets to Thokozani Khupe.

  1. So the MDCA does not follow it’s constitution nor the law of the country but is guided by the “two whatever” ie whatever chamisa says and does . What a shame , a party of lawyers that does not follow a constitution they wrote. But it doesn’t surprise us for so far the noise is coming from those who benefited from the illegal structures the main losers of the court case . Welshmen go back to your MDC N and leave our loyal cadres to protect the party

    1. You don’t even know what you are talking about. You better shut your mouth. Nelson Chamisa is the leader of the mdc alliance and that will not be affected by the Court’s rulling. We love our president and God will remember us. We are happy to have such kind of hard times because we know that there is no victory where there’s no battle

      1. Pathetic. Why did Nelson Chamisa appeal to the Supreme court after
same loosing case in High Court. This comment reflects lack of thinking among Nelson puppets. Surely if High Court ruling had nothing to do with MDC Alliance, common sense would have been not to proceed further. Welshman Ncube and Tendai Biti were already in the political dustbin discourse, they only there for political relevance. A bunch of lawyers who do not know constitutionalism, Chamisa grabbed power unconstitutionally, it’s time for him to face the music. Busy using morons by name of Vanguard to intimidate people is outright myopic and primitive.

        1. Pple voted for chamisa cuz they luv him. Dai vanh vaida khupe vangadai vakamuvhotera. Vanh havadi part bt vanoda munh wacho.

  2. Throughout history failed liberation projects has strove to emasculate post liberation democratic constructs . Throughout history autocrats have unsuccessfully tried to repress alternative voices . Emmerson is not the first nor last autocrat who will fail #Shame on you
