"April National Clean-up Exercise To Be Conducted At Household Level,"

Zimbabweans have been informed that the April national Clean-up exercise shall be conducted at a household level due to the 21-day lockdown that is in place to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa last year declared that the national clean-up campaign will be held on the first Friday of each month.

Posting on Twitter, State-run radio station, StarFM said:

April National Clean-up exercise to be conducted at household level amid the #Covid19 pandemic. Residents being urged to clean their backyards and prioritise separation of waste. The exercise is done on the first Friday of each month.

The 21-day lockdown confined citizens to their homes and security personnel were authorised to arrest those who are found violating the decree.
