LIST: Funds Pledged By The International Community To Help Zimbabwe Fight COVID-19

According to the finance minister, These are the COVID-19 funds pledged and donated by the international community to help Zimbabwe fight the epidemic.

  1. The Global Fund has pledged US$25m,
  2. World Bank $25 million
  3. United States government have promised US$470 000.
  4. The United Kingdom government 1.7 million pounds
  5. European Union have also pledged €38m

According to the Finance minister:

Development partners are complementing government efforts in a number of ways focusing on humanitarian assistance. Given the magnitude of the resources required to fight this crisis, government will continue to approach and engage more development partners as well as our own private sector to combine efforts towards fighting this pandemic.

  1. The looters are rubbing their palms in anticipation of the funds to be availed for stealing as per the Zimbabwean tradition/culture established/introduced by Zanu PF upon Uhuru attainment.
