Chamisa Speaks Ahead Of Court Ruling To Determine The Legitimate Leader Of MDC

Nelson Chamisa the leader of the opposition MDC Alliance has spoken ahead of a court determination on the MDC leadership matter that has dragged for almost two years now.

Chamisa posted on Twitter this Tuesday and said:

DICTATORSHIP NEVER WINS. DICTATORSHIP ALWAYS ULTIMATELY FALLS AND SO SHALL IT BE WITH ALL THOSE WHO CONNIVE WITH IT! THE PEOPLE ALWAYS WIN AND THE PEOPLE SHALL GOVERN! BIGGER AFTER IT ALL. CORRECTNESS NEVER COMES SECOND BEST!

His remarks come when the Supreme Court is scheduled to give a ruling this afternoon on the power wrangle that has divided the party since Morgan Tsvangirai’s demise and eventual death in 2018.

Chamisa has been locked in a nasty power dispute with Thokozani Khupe who now leads a breakaway faction MDC-T.

Both claim to be the legitimate heir to the throne. The High Court last year ruled in favour of Khupe but Chamisa immediately appealed at the Supreme Court rendering the High Court null and void.

MDC supporters claim that Khupe is being used by and getting sponsorship from the ruling ZANU PF which aims at destroying the opposition party.
