Juventus Players Agree To Take A 4 Months Pay Cut

Juventus players have reportedly agreed to take a 4 months pay cut to help the Italian Champions during the Coronavirus crisis, The Guardian reports.

According to the publication, The Italian club in a statement said:

The economic and financial effects of the understanding reached are positive for about €90m for the 2019/2020 financial year. The understanding provides for the reduction of the compensation for an amount equal to the monthly payments of March, April, May and June 2020

This comes after leading English clubs and a Spanish Club Atletico Madrid took the decision to cut their wage bills due to the pandemic that has affected live match broadcasts, sponsorship deals and game ticket sales.
