Chiwenga Returns Home After 2-Week Absence

Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has returned from China where he had gone for a routine medical checkup two weeks ago.

Chiwenga’s return was confirmed by George Charamba, the Press Secretary in the Office of the President. Said Charamba:

I haven’t seen him as yet, but I can confirm he’s back. You’d have heard that on Friday, the president appointed him chairman of the Covid-19 taskforce and that tells you he will hit the ground running.

According to ZimLive.com, Chiwenga’s private jet hired from Dubai landed in Harare at 22.15 PM on Friday, according to flight-tracking websites.

The luxuriously-fitted Airbus A318-112 (CJ) Elite made a stop-over for refuelling in Colombo, Sri Lanka, after taking off from the Chinese capital, Beijing.

  1. So, why hasn’t this totally useless and sick individual, who incidentally has just cost the Zim Treasury at least USD$8 MILLION for the hire of a fancy jet, been put in 21 day quarantine having just returned from the epicenter of this Chinese-caused deadly virus?

  2. Sometimes you wonder the logic behind him appointed chairman of covid 19 taskforce. Firstly he is already a suspect of covid 19 considering he is coming from China. Such a sick man trying to help the sick people. It was good idea to give the position to Doctor John Mangwiro he is a experienced Doctor with clean track history in the medical fraternity.
