South Africa has deployed security personnel onto the streets to inform the citizenry of about the 21-day lockdown that was announced on the 23rd of March by president Cyril Ramaphosa.
The lockdown which is in light of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic is starting on the 26th of March and will conditionally end on the 16th April.
All South Africans are required to stay at home in the 21 days.

According to WHO Africa, South Africa now has the highest number (402) of confirmed coronavirus cases on the African continent.
