Legendary Cameroonian Musician Manu Dibango Dies From COVID-19 As Spain Records 6600 New COVID-19 Cases
COVID-19 has claimed the life of Cameroon’s biggest jazz, funk and traditional west African styles musician Manu Dibango (real name Emmanuel N’Djoké Dibango). Dibango died in hospital in Spain according to The Guardian.
The news of his death was posted on his Facebook Page. The post announcing his death reads:
His funeral service will be held in strict privacy, and a tribute to his memory will be organised when possible.
FeedbackManu was born in Cameroon’s Douala in 1933 and he attended school in France. Meanwhile, Spain has recorded 6600 new COVID-19 cases and they have so far recorded over 2600 deaths due to the pandemic.
