This was revealed by  Shipping and Freight Forwarders agents association of Zimbabwe (SFAAZ) president Mr Joseph Musariri who spoke to the publication and said:

In times like these, it might be prudent for the Government to scrap import related duties and levies on face masks, soaps and sanitizers, etc. these tools are very critical in the fight against the pandemic.

Musariri was speaking after it emerged that those items have become a hot sale as they are said to be useful in fighting COVID-19 infections. Currently, gloves and sanitizers attract a 40% duty and 15% VAT.
