WATCH: ZANU PF MPs Disrupt Parly Proceedings In Defence Of Corruption-Accused NetOne

Members of Parliament belonging to the ruling ZANU PF this Wednesday disrupted yet another Parliamentary Portfolio Committee meeting chaired by MDC Secretary-General Chalton Hwende.

The MDC says that ZANU PF legislators are accusing Hwende and his party of refusing to recognise President Emmerson Mnangagwa as the legitimate president of Zimbabwe.

The Committee on Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) was supposed to hear oral evidence from NetOne, a state-owned mobile network operator (MNO) which is accused of misusing public funds.

The chair of the committee, Chalton Hwende alleges that NetOne has been buying furniture for Zanu PF which is the reason the ruling party does not want the board to appear before the committee. He said:

NetOne has been buying furniture for Zanu PF, they don’t want the board to come here and account for public funds that are being abused at NetOne.
