JUST IN: Zambia Records First Two Coronavirus Cases
Zambia has recorded its first two cases of the novel coronavirus. The announcement was made this Wednesday by that country’s Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya. The minister said:
The patients are a Zambian couple that travelled to France on a 10-day holiday.
The development means that two countries (South Africa and Zambia) sharing a border with Zimbabwe have recorded cases of the virus when Zimbabwe has not yet registered any case.
Ironically, the countries have not closed their borders to each other with authorities in each country arguing that screening and testing at points of entry will be intensified.
