21-Year-Old Man Struck And Killed By Motorist While Crossing The Road - ZRP

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has urged motorists to be extra vigilant on the roads after a motorist struck and killed a 21-year-old man in Domboshava.

The police report that the man was crossing the road when he was struck dead by the vehicle. Posting on Twitter, ZRP said:

In another fatal accident, which occurred on 13/3/20 in Domboshava, a 21-year-old man was struck and killed by a motorist while crossing the road. Motorists are urged to avoid speeding and to be attentive at all times.

The police have said that most of the accidents recorded in the country are as a result of human error while the state of roads is also contributing largely to these accidents.

This accident happens when only a few weeks are left before Easter Holidays, one of the periods when the number of accidents balloon.

Members of the public were also encouraged to be extra careful when crossing the roads as some drivers are learners while some will be under the influence of drugs.

Mechanical faults can also result in drivers losing control of their vehicles.
