PICTURE: Mahere Questions The Content Of A Grade 5 Textbox That Labels Macheso, Bev And Sugar Sugar As Dancers In Zimbabwe

Prominent Harare Lawyer, Fadzayi Mahere has questioned the content of a grade 5 textbook under the new curriculum.

Taking it to Twitter, Mahere captioned a photo that labels Alick Macheso, Sugar Sugar and Beverly as dancers in Zimbabwe and further label, Chris Brown, Shakira and Beyonce as international dancers with this statement:

  1. At this level the statements make sense. Yes, Alick Macheso os a dancer BUT he does not make a living out of dancing! The Author says “Most” dancers make a living out of it. Listen ,Fadzai Mahere, its “correct” at Grade 5 level to say we get vitamin D from the sun. The same statement is wrong at Ordinary level! Vitamin D comes from veggies but one needs the sun for the vitamin to work in their body.
