The Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) through the Nehanda Center for Gender and Cultural Studies and the Department of Rural and Urban Development is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to enrol in the following programmes: Notes: (a) Block Release Programmes will run from 10 April 2020 to 3 May 2020. (b) Registration will take place on 8-9 April 2020. (c) The closing date for submission of completed application forms is Friday, 27 March 2020.

Certificate in Project Planning and Management ( 6 months Block Release) This programme exposes students to the following issues in project planning and management: – Project Planning and Design; – Financial Management; – Project Management; – Project Monitoring and Evaluation; – Contemporary Issues In Project Planning; and – Project Paper Writing

Target Group The programme targets people working or seeking employment in Non-Governmental Organisations, Civil Society Organizations, Government, and the Private Sector such as project managers, project officers, field officers, researchers, research assistants, and enumerators among others. Entry Requirements At least 5 ‘O’ level passes including English Language passed at grade C or better. Relevant working experience will be an added advantage.

Executive Certificate in Programme & Project Monitoring and Evaluation (6 Months Block Release) This programme exposes students to the following issues in monitoring and evaluation: – Introduction to Monitoring & Evaluation; – Research Methods in M & E; – Results-Based Monitoring; – Presentation of M & E Results; – Sustaining M & E Systems in Organisations; – Data Analysis Applications; and – Project Paper Writing.

Target Group The programme targets people working or seeking employment in Non-Governmental Organisations, Civil Society Organizations, Government, and the Private Sector such as M&E managers, M&E officers, community development officers, researchers, and development consultants among other Entry Requirements At least 5 ‘O’ level passes including English Language passed at grade C or better. Applicants must also be holders of, or studying towards a relevant diploma or degree.

Target Group The programme targets people working or seeking employment in Non-Governmental Organisations, Civil Society Organizations, Government, and the Private Sector such as M&E managers, M&E officers, project managers, project officers, project engineers, development planners and community development managers among others. Entry Requirements To be admitted to the Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, a candidate must meet the following requirements: a) Have at least five Ordinary level passes including English Language passed at grade C or better, and b) Holders of an appropriate Honours Degree with a minimum of a 2.2 Degree class pass.
