1 Hospitalised After MDC Alliance Rival Groups Clash In Masvingo Province Elections

Clashes between 2 Chamisa led MDC rival groups have left one person hospitalised after 2 factions clashed over the party’s Masvingo Province elections over the weekend, New Zimbabwe reports.

The violence that erupted even affected the Masvingo restructuring program where 2 party heavyweights are aiming to take control of the party’s Masvingo offices.

According to the publication:

During the weekend election, supporters of Matutu accused Gumbi of bussing people from outside MDC Masvingo Urban structures to cast their votes for Joshua Chanyau whom they alleged was aligned to Gumbi.

Chamisa dissolved Masvingo Province Party structures on insubordination and incompetency allegations.
