Politicians from Mashonaland west have urged the government to investigate former cabinet ministers Ignatius Chombo and Savior Kasukuwere’s land dealings after gross misconduct in the sale of land during the time they were cabinet ministers surfaced, The Herald reports
The politicians’ nudge came after a report which was handed to the president by the land audit commission which unearthed evidence that Ignatius Chombo and 105 other people were reportedly involved in:
Possible corruption, criminal abuse of office, bribery, the sale of State land without authority from the Ministry of Local Government and selling land without fully servicing it.
Dr Chombo’s trial in which he is said to have criminally abused his office is yet to start since November 2017
