Govt Disburses US$100 To Every Zimbabwean Student In Wuhan China To Buy Commodities Online – Report

The government of Zimbabwe has reportedly disbursed US$100 to every Zimbabwean student in Wuhan, China to purchase food online.

The development was announced by Linda Masarira, the leader of the LEAD political party. She posted on Twitter saying:

May I congratulate our Government for an act of kindness to every Zimbabwean Student in Wuhan City China. Zimbabwe Government has disbursed US$100 for food online purchases to ZimStudents. This is was made possible after the local Chinese Ambassador discussions yesterday.

Wuhan province is the epicenter of the novel coronavirus and it is very risky for one to mix and mingle with others or to be in public places.

The government had in the recent past been underfire for allegedly neglecting the students who are living in a hazardous environment.

  1. Unfortunately not every Zimbabwean received the money, I’m in Wuhan and I didn’t get the money. I tried to complain but they said they can’t do anything about it.
