UK Govt Donates Equipment Worth $2 Million To Zimbabwe To Fight Coronavirus

The UK government has donated equipment worth $2 Million to Zimbabwe to help fight COVID-19, Health Times reports. The equipment will be set up at Zimbabwe’s Public Health Emergency Operation Centre in preparation for the COVID-19.

Delivering his acceptance speech at the handover ceremony Minister Obadiah Moyo said:

We are very grateful to you the head of mission. This is exactly what we want. Protection of our staff is very, very vital. We don’t want our members of staff to end up being infected by COVID 19. So the British have come in and make sure all our members of staff are well protected. infected. We really thank you for that.

The equipment includes computers and protective clothing.
