The ruling ZANU PF party will on Wednesday 4 March 2020 hold an ordinary session of the Politburo.
In a statement on Tuesday, party Secretary for Information and Publicity and Party Spokesperson Simon Khaya Moyo said the session will be held at the Party Headquarters at 10 AM. The statement reads:

NOTICE CONVENING THE ORDINARY SESSION OF THE POLITBURO
The Secretary for Administration Dr O.M Mpofu wishes to advise all members that there shall be a Politburo meeting to be held on Wednesday 4 March 2020 at the Party Headquarters commencing 1000 hours.
All members should be seated by 0945 hours sharp.

The meeting is held when the nation is engulfed with fear over the country’s preparedness, or lack of it thereof, to prevent or contain the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Zimbabwe is also submerged under an economic and humanitarian crisis which is characterised by a huge deficit in fuel, mealie-meal, cash, foreign currency, medicines and power.
