Former Finance Minister of Zimbabwe, Tendai Biti has claimed that the International Monetary Fund’s latest report on Zimbabwe reveals that Zimbabwe is going nowhere with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government.
Posting on Twitter, Biti who is also the vice president of the MDC led by Nelson Chamisa said:
The collapse of the #SMP & the Fund’s damning Article 4 Staff Report confirms the truth that Zim is a rogue State run& presided by a predatory mafia that is unwilling & incapable of reform. Only 2 things matter to this rogue element, the #power retention agenda & its bottom line.
There can never be reforms without reformers & therefore expecting the #SMP to have succeeded was as ambitious as it was naive. In Emmerson & his team lie a group of incompetent greedy reckless & predatory characters without any comparison in the history of misgovernance.
More than anything it is #CORRUPTION & State Capture that has been the bane for the regime. Billions have been stolen through Command Agriculture, FX , fuel, export surrender requirements, procurement, TBs, subsidies & commodities. Cartels (Sakunda)hold the regime hostage.
