“Sarajevo Assassination Triggered WW1,” State Warned On Plot Against MDC Leadership

The deputy spokesperson of the opposition MDC, Luke Tamborinyoka has claimed that there is a plot by unnamed persons to capture the houses of MDC leadership.

Tamborinyoka claimed that the alleged plot was against party president Nelson Chamisa, Vice President Tendai Biti and Deputy Chairperson Job Sikhala.

Tamborinyoka warned that the alleged move will result in a revolt against the President Emmerson Mnangagwa-led government. He said:

The Sarajevo assassination triggered a World War. The plot to siege the homes of the people’s leaders Nelson Chamisa, Tendai Biti and Job Wiwa Sikhala  is playing right into the hands of a restive people itching for action. This is exactly what the people want. Please bring it on.

His remarks come after Sikhala has alleged that he was being followed by suspected state security personnel. Sikhala who has been threatening and calling for mass action to dislodge the ZANU PF government over the socio-economic crisis also warned that his death could trigger an uprising in the country.
