The National University of Science and Technology (NUST) has dismissed reports which suggest that two 2nd year Journalism and Media Studies students who fought last week during a lecture were fighting over a lecturer.
The academic learning institution also said that it will take disciplinary measures on the duo describing the two students’ behaviour as childish.
The Chronicle reported on the 22nd of this month that the two female students are said to very close friends and the cause of the messy fight is still unknown although speculation has it that they were fighting over a lecturer.
Witnesses, however, said that one of the girls had claimed that her friend had dropped her phone resulting in it cracking the screen.
When allegedly confronted her over the issue while uttering some words, her friend slapped her thereby triggering the fight.
