FBC Bank Cards Now Have US$20 And Or US$15 Annual Fees

FBC Bank has announced that it will start charging a $20 fee on all prepaid cards issued by the bank a year. Personal accounts will be expected to pay $15 per year.

The bank announced the development to its customers via an SMS which read:

Please note that FBC Prepaid cards will now have the following annual fees applicable to them, $20 for Business and $15 for Ordinary cards effective February 2020.

The Bank also said that its decisions are usually informed by the prevailing business conditions. Posting on Twitter this Tuesday, the bank said:

Kindly note that the bank regularly reviews business conditions, informed by the prevailing economic conditions. This allows us to meet the requirements of diverse customer segments, maintain excellent service standards and offer enhanced convenience to our valued clients

Zim Price Check spoke to the Bank’s representative who said that this charge is in US dollars and affects their MasterCard.

The card enables Zimbabweans to make online payments as well as to be able to make purchases and withdrawals when travelling. Several families also utilise the card to send money to their children who are studying abroad.
