Zimbabwe's Opposition Political Party Preparing To Drag ZIMSEC To Court Over Exam Fees

The president of Labour, Economists, African Democrats (LEAD), an opposition political party in Zimbabwe has announced that the party was preparing to take ZIMSEC to court over the hike of examination fees.

Posting on Twitter, Linda Masarira-Kaingidza who is the former spokesperson of the MDC-T led by Dr Thokozani Khupe said:

Sebato reLEAD tiri kugadzira magwaro ekuendesa kudare rinoona nezvebumbiro remutemo (As LEAD party, we are preparing court papers to present before the Constitutional Court). Right to education is every child’s right in Zimbabwe. Millions of children might fail to write examinations this year because the examination fees pegged are too exorbitant for most Zimbabweans.
