ED Gave Matutu And Tsenengamu Permission To Name And Shame Corruption Cartels - Report

The president reportedly gave the 2 suspended Zanu PF youth league officials permission to name and shame corrupt cartels which they accused of wreaking havoc in the economy but backtracked after party heavyweights bayed for the youth league officials’ blood, The Standard reports.

According to the publication, Matutu was at a party with the president when he approached him to complain about cartels and the president reportedly said are you afraid of naming and shaming them.

A source that spoke to the publication said:

Matutu approached Mnangagwa over the deteriorating economy and told him that cartels were sabotaging the economy.

The president then asked the youth league leaders: ‘Are you afraid of shaming them?

That gave the youths the impression that he had given them the go-ahead to name and shame the businessmen

Matutu and Tsenengamu appeared in a video last week hugging and posing for photos with Zanu Pf political commissar and said they had been counselled on what they had done.
