Logarusic Rallies All Football Stakeholders Behind The Warriors

Newly-appointed Warriors coach Zdravko “Loga” Logarusic has urged all football stakeholders to rally behind the national team as he cannot do it on his own.

Speaking at his official unveiling in Harare on Thursday, the Croat also pledged that he will not disappoint the football fraternity. He said:

I cannot do it by myself. In this job, I need proper support from my technical staff.

I need proper support from the players, proper support from the association and, most importantly, the media and the supporters.

… I am happy for this opportunity and I will not disappoint you. But, also, don’t disappoint me, you will see we will do it.

The Warriors are set to play Africa Cup of Nations holders Algeria on March 23 in their third group match of the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.

The return leg will be played on March 31, and soon afterwards, the Warriors will compete in the CHAN tournament which runs from April 4-25 in Cameroon.
