When ED Named And Shamed Externalisers, Why Were You Quiet? – Tsenengamu Hits Back At Chinamasa

Suspended Zanu PF Youth league official Godfrey Tsenengamu has responded to Zanu PF Secretary for administration Patrick Chinamasa‘s remarks that naming and shaming successful business people was bad for business as it chased away investors.

Tsenengamu questioned Chinamasa’s integrity by saying he was quiet when the president named and shamed externalisers.

In a letter seen by ZimMorning Post addressed to Chinamasa, Tsenengamu said:

Comrade, Chef, when President Mnangagwa named and shamed those who externalised forex, you didn’t say it’s not party policy to name and shame.

You didn’t say it promotes those with extortionist tendencies and rent-seeking behaviour (when Mnangagwa did the same). You didn’t say he must tow the party line. You didn’t say he is dividing the  party. You didn’t say he must follow procedure.

Tsenengamu was suspended together with Lewis Matutu after the named a list of corrupt business people who they said were wreaking havoc in the economy.
