Retired Army Colonel Rebukes ZANU PF For Silencing Youths

Former War Veterans minister and retired army colonel Tshinga Dube has expressed disappointment over the gagging of Zanu PF youth leaders who spoke out against corruption.

Speaking to reporters after delivering a public lecture at the Solusi University campus in Bulawayo on Sunday, Dube urged authorities not to curtail young people’s free thought. He said:

Personally, I was a bit disappointed that there is still some restriction on what people can say. I always have respect for young people who do something about what they think is not right. We should not hinder them from free thought.

Dube said those people who have been said to be cartels should come out and prove their innocence. He added that the cartel leaders should explain their source of wealth.

He also urged the youths to prove their allegations against the cartels.
