Buhera West legislator Joseph Chinotimba in parly yesterday questioned the government’s timing in increasing university fees and said people were already stressed with food insecurities and university fees were supposed to be increased after the harvest.
During the question and answer session, Cde Chinos as he is affectionately known by his legion of fans said:
Government assistance is questionable because, in rural areas, the communities are in need of food. The timing for the increase in university fees is not correct. They should increase fees after the harvest.
My question is, did you ever consider the salaries that people are getting? We are representatives of the workers. As we stand for someone who is gainfully employed; to get $800 and is expected to pay $5 000 is not practical
In response, Prof Amon Murwira said they had taken salaries into consideration and also explained that they had also made student loans available.

The fees are just unaffordable. The professor is just an idiot. Eg , how wil the loans be repaid?
We have no government at all just a circus of pretenders
The professor and the government are two worlds apart separated from the people
