Loga Urged To Go For Broke Against Desert Foxes

A United Kingdom-based Zimbabwean coach, Philip Zulu, on Tuesday urged Warriors coach Zdravko “Loga” Logarusic to take the handbrake off against defending Africa Cup of Nations champions, Algeria when the two teams meet in a 2021 AFCON qualifier.

Zulu asserted that the Warriors now have an array of foreign-based players who can go toe-to-toe with the Desert Foxes. He said:

Let’s go for broke against Algeria, as they’ll bring all their Europe-based players for a showdown.

It’s a game of nerves and quality on the pitch as well, they’re serious about going far and this should be a huge test to our aspirations of squaring toe-to-toe with the big teams of North Africa.

This game is a must-win for Zimbabwe at all costs, we will then send a clear message loudly to Ghana, and all the teams in the World Cup qualification group with us.

The Warriors have the likes of Martin Mapisa, Aec Mudimu, Tendayi Darikwa, Jordan Zemura, Adam Chicksen, Andy Rinomhota, Marvelous Nakamba, Macauley Bonne, Tino Kadewere, Teenage Hadebe, Marshal Munetsi, Kundai Benyu, Knowledge Musona and Jonah Fabisch playing in Europe.
