Prosecutor General Was Appointed By President ED To Fight Corruption Not To Cry," Mnangagwa's Staunch Supporter
Australia-based Jonnes Musara who is a staunch supporter has criticised Prosecutor-General Hodzi for remarking that cartels in the country were difficult to deal with.
Hodzi had said that the cartels are being protected by the media, political parties, the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission and other strong institutions.
Hodzi’s remarks came after the ZANU PF Youth League had named Sakunda boss, Kuda Tagwirei who si alleged to have strong ties with ZANU PF elites, as one of the cartels bleeding the economy.
Commenting on PG Hodzi’s remarks, Musara said that the PG should just do his job and stop complaining about the hurdles. He said:
On corruption: The Prosecutor-General (PG) was appointed by President ED (Mnangagwa) to fight corruption not to cry abt corruption.

The Constitution in Section 259(11) empowers the PG to direct the Commissioner-General of Police to conduct investigations on any criminal matter. Has he done so?
The ZANU PF Youth League Leadership was relieved of its duties by the party following the press conference where Tagwirei was implicated.
The development and others which preceded it, including Tagwirei’s donation of luxurious vehicles to Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, prompted members of the public to say that Tagwirei had immense influence over political elites in the country.
