Gwanzura Stadium in Harare’s Highfield suburb is now in a sorry state, with weeds invading its terraces and the state of the pitch deplorable.
The owners of the stadium, Harare City Council, say they are in the process of renovating the stadium. Council said in a statement:
The maize crop at Gwanzura stadium does not in any way interfere with football activities. The maize crop is within the perimeter wall of the caretaker’s residency. Council is working on improving its stadia
