FULL TEXT: GMAZ Say They "Didn't Receive US$27M From Govt" As Wadyajena Claims But Actually "Lent Its Money To Govt"

The Grain Millers Association of Zimbabwe has revealed the reasons the association refused to appear before the Parliamentary Committee led by ZANU PF legislator, Justice Mayor Wadyajena whilst accepting to appear before the Tendai Biti-led PAC.

Wadyajena alleged that GMAZ was given US$27 million for the importation of wheat and now has to account for the money. GMAZ responded saying:

Reasons for not appearing before the said Portfolio are in the letter by our attorneys parly. We never received $27M from govt as claimed. We have lent funds to govt for silo repairs. We challenge anyone to produce proof of the disbursements.
